Can someone leave home at 17 years old in the state of ohio?

more less my niece is 17 she is going thou alot of stuff about to graduate from school wants a job and the ppl that has her wont let her she cant do anything unless its for them she will be 18 in 2012 can she leave home without getting in trouble
