How can we start our moving process?

Me and my girlfriend want to move to Florida from Ohio. We need jobs down there of course but my question is how do we apply for jobs when we only have an ohio address to put on the application? Or are we supposed to just get a place first then look for jobs?? I'm worried if we do that we will end up stuck with an apartment we can't pay for if we can't find work. Any thoughts??
