Do I get to keep my OHIP even though i'm coming to the USA on an immigrant visa?

I've applied my i-130 and it recently got approved, so i'll be going over to Ohio shortly. I'm not clear on if I get to keep my OHIP while i'm there though. I know there's something like I have to return to Canada every six months in order to keep it but i'm not sure if this applies since i'll be in the states on an immigrant Visa. Any advice will be appreciated!
